Five kids on a golden-aspen meadow trail in fall

Three hikes for the days when you don't want a hike to be a project.

The Hyde Park Waterfall Trail is a great short and easy hike, perfect for families and kids — leads to a charming small waterfall, a quick outdoor adventure.

The Dale Ball Trails are an extensive network of interconnected trails close to downtown Santa Fe, suitable for a variety of skill levels. Beautiful scenery, popular for hiking, running, and mountain biking.

The Aspen Vista Picnic Site is a beautiful spot near the ski mountain — perfect for lunch and picnicking. Picnic tables, restrooms, and a gentle scenic trail ideal for all levels. Pair it with El Parasol tacos picked up on the way.
