Sky Railway: the historic train ride that turns into the night.

Sky Railway is one of those Santa Fe things that doesn't make sense until you do it. A newly restored historic train runs between Santa Fe and Lamy, NM, and instead of just being "a train ride," the trips are themed — choose from murder mysteries, folklore, or music events. It's a memorable and unique experience suitable for all ages.

The right ride depends on the group. The folklore and music nights work for almost anyone, including kids old enough to sit through an evening. The murder mystery is more of a date-night or friend-trip move. Read the description for the specific date you're booking.

Be sure to book tickets in advance — these sell out, and the themed nights especially.

Pair it with dinner. La Choza in the Railyard — the casual sister to The Shed — is the right pre-train move on a busy night.
