COFFEE & CAFFEINE
Slow mornings begin somewhere. These are the cups we walk to.
THE BIG PICTURE
Coffee in Santa Fe is what coffee should be: an unhurried excuse to sit somewhere beautiful before the day catches up to you. The best mornings here aren't the ones where you grab a paper cup and rush to the trailhead. They're the ones where you walk somewhere, order something local, and watch the light come up over the adobe.
Most of our favorites are inside something else — a bookstore, a tea house, a feed-and-seed converted into a café — which is part of the charm. Pick one a day, walk to it, and don't be in a hurry to leave.

THE ONE PLACE WE'D BOOK FIRST
Galisteo St
Inside a cozy downtown bookstore, just steps from the Plaza. Order a cortado, find a chair near a window, and don't make any plans for the next 45 minutes. This is the morning we keep recommending to first-time guests.
Guadalupe St
Excellent coffee, sandwiches, tacos, and a charming patio.
Galisteo St
Located inside a cozy bookstore, just steps from the Plaza.
San Francisco St, near the Plaza
Serves La Colombe coffee (a personal favorite). Wide variety of creative drinks — matcha lattes, lavender lattes, smoothies, and more.
Canyon Road
Fantastic selection of teas and coffee beverages. The perfect spot to relax after exploring galleries along Canyon Road.
Cerrillos Road
Excellent coffee, juices, avocado toast, and gluten-free options. Try their Acai Teffcakes with your morning coffee.
