Where to start the morning.

COFFEE & CAFFEINE

Where to start the morning.

Slow mornings begin somewhere. These are the cups we walk to.

THE BIG PICTURE

What you should actually know.

Coffee in Santa Fe is what coffee should be: an unhurried excuse to sit somewhere beautiful before the day catches up to you. The best mornings here aren't the ones where you grab a paper cup and rush to the trailhead. They're the ones where you walk somewhere, order something local, and watch the light come up over the adobe.

Most of our favorites are inside something else — a bookstore, a tea house, a feed-and-seed converted into a café — which is part of the charm. Pick one a day, walk to it, and don't be in a hurry to leave.

ICONIK Coffee — Downtown

Galisteo St

Inside a cozy downtown bookstore, just steps from the Plaza. Order a cortado, find a chair near a window, and don't make any plans for the next 45 minutes. This is the morning we keep recommending to first-time guests.
